Title: Medical & Healthcare Robots in China: Opportunities and Challenges
Speaker: Professor Zeng-Guang Hou
Abstract: Medical and healthcare robots have attracted more and more attentions in China. In this talk, we will introduce some recent research and developments of medical and healthcare robots. Some clinical trial and applications will be discussed where both opportunities and challenges exist.
Short Bio: Zeng-Guang Hou is a Professor and Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory of Management and Control for Complex Systems, Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). Dr. Hou is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, and an Editorial Board Member of Neural Networks. He is on the Board of Governors of International Neural Network Society (INNS).
His research interests include computational intelligence, robotics, and intelligent systems. He has more than 30 invention patents and published more than 100 papers in referred journals and conference proceedings. He was a recipient of the IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks Outstanding Paper Award in 2013, and the Outstanding Achievement Award of Asia Pacific Neural Network Society (APNNS) in 2017.
